Man films Ferguson officer Darren Wilson allegedly violating his rights

Darren Wilson, the Ferguson, Missouri, police officer who shot and killed unarmed teenager Mike Brown, is at the center of yet another controversy.

Mike Arman recorded an incident with an officer that he claims is Wilson and says that during the incident he was unlawfully arrested on October 28, 2013 and denied his rights.

In the video, Arman asks for the officer’s name. The officer responds with, “If you wanna take a picture of me one more time, I’m going to lock your a** up.”

Arman then asks if he has a right to record the incident, and the officer replies, “no.” Shortly after that, the video ends.

A police report of the incident states that Arman was arrested for violation of a city ordinance because of multiple derelict vehicles on his property. Arman says the charges were dropped when he told his lawyer he had a video recording. Another charge relating to pit bull regulations was also dropped when Arman showed that he actually owned a bulldog.

A spokesman for the Ferguson Police Department said that they did not believe Wilson was the one in the recording, though his name is on the report.

The report says that Arman lay on the floor and claimed to be unable to feel his arms and legs for 10 minutes but later acted normally after he calmed down.

Arman said he took the video as soon as the officer approached him, just in case he had to “safeguard” himself.
