Twitter sides with Azealia Banks, rapper keeps her account after saying Sarah Palin should be gang raped
Twitter is allowing rapper Azealia Banks to keep her account even after she made comments saying that Sarah Palin should be gang raped that many felt were in violation of Twitter’s rules.

The tweets in question included comments from Bank directed at Palin such as a call for Palin to “get headf****d by a big, veiny, ashy black d**k” and for “the biggest burliest blackest n*****s’ to ‘run a train on her.”
Twitter’s rules would seem to indicate that such statements are against the company’s policy, with their rules saying that the company does not “tolerate behavior that crosses the line into abuse, including behavior that harasses, intimidates, or uses fear to silence another user’s voice.”

Additionally, violent threats, whether “direct or indirect,” violate the rules: “You may not make threats of violence or promote violence.”
However, it seems that in this case, Twitter is siding with Banks. “We reviewed the content and determined that it was not in violation of the Twitter Rules,” the company said in a statement.

The company has stated that its evaluation of complaints related to tweets is as such: “Some of the factors that we may consider when evaluating abusive behavior include…Â if the reported behavior is one-sided or includes threats.”
