After Carey posted the news of her engagement online, Cannon responded with a hilarious Instagram post on Friday in which he pretended to be literally sick at heart. In a picture staged with the help of his friend Kevin Hart, Cannon can be seen in a hospital gown and bed while Hart hovers over him with a concerned expression.
“It’s just a ring Nick,” the image reads.
All joking aside, though, Cannon did give the couple a heartfelt message after his hijinks were through: “Congrats to @MariahCarey and James! May God Bless Your Future Union… #GreatPeople #GreatCouple.”
