President Barack Obama’s re-election Tuesday became the most tweeted-about event in U.S. political history. The president’s tweet of ‘Four more years’ following his victory then became the most retweeted message of all time.  (It has more than 714,000 retweets as of this posting.)

NBA All-Stars in the president’s corner showed their support on Twitter as well.

Reigning MVP LeBron James began with the hashtag #ObamaStillPrez shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday night when Obama was declared victorious. In 2010, James played hoops with Obama, along with other stars like Carmelo Anthony and teammate Dwyane Wade. Obama famously “approved” of a vicious James dunk earlier this summer at a Team USA-Brazil exhibition in D.C.

LeBron showed on Twitter that the president has his approval, too:

Making sure not to alienate any of his fans in other states, James quickly expanded his love for all Obama voters:

Interestingly enough, James has a history in both of the states that were critical to Obama’s re-election. He shouted out his home state and the state he plays in with one final tweet:

James’ teammate Dwyane Wade tweeted a photo from his Instagram account of him and the president shaking hands at a Father’s Day event at the White House:

Clippers All-Star point guard Chris Paul was straight to the point:

Kevin Durant was similarly short and sweet:

Other current and former NBA players also lit up Twitter celebrating a second Obama term.

When Obama supporter and Mavericks guard Dahntay Jones learned of the news, he tweeted a phrase very familiar to sports fans:

Jones also tweeted “Congrats,” including a past Instagram photo of him and the president after some pick-up hoops:

Former Wizards center Etan Thomas had some choice words for Obama birther Donald Trump:

Wizards point guard (now injured) John Wall tweeted a picture of Obama and his wife Michelle, while Clippers forward (also injured) Grant Hill tweeted a subtle shot at Trump, too.

It’s safe to say President Obama will have little trouble gathering the NBA’s best for more pick-up games in the future.
