Shelby County firefighter wants to “pass it on” this holiday season and give back to a woman who has done so much to take care of him.

Shawn Tucker knows that Tracy Brown, who is the logistics clerk for the firefighters, keeps the place running. “She makes sure that we actually have everything that we need,” he said, adding that she always takes care of things with a smile on her face.

Brown is the single mother of two boys, one of whom is blind, and Tucker knows that she has been struggling financially. So, he enlisted the help of “Pass it On” to help her out.

When Tucker caught up to Brown to “pass it on,” he was able to properly express his thanks, saying, “We want to thank you for the way you take care of us. The way you see after us and every single day come in with a smile on your face. And you have no idea how much it enlightens us to see you. We know you work hard.”

He added that he didn’t know if “Pass it On” would even get back to him, but he thought it was worth a try. “It’s right before Thanksgiving, and I believe you deserve a blessing.”
