Lifetime is ready to make another biopic on a fallen R&B star.

First it was Whitney Houston. Now, it’s Aaliyah’s turn.

The cable network announced Monday its plan for an original movie tentatively titled Aaliyah: Princess of R&B.

Teen singer and actress Zendaya has been cast in the lead role.

Zendaya has been a contestant on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars and released her first album, Zendaya, last summer. The 17-year-old performer has starred in Disney series and original movies for the channel.

The network announced Zendaya will perform and record four of Aaliyah’s  songs for the film, which is based on the book Aaliyah: More Than A Woman — a New York Times bestseller.

On August 25, 2001, Aaliyah died in a plane crash at the age of 22.
